Mr C's Sneak Peek

When we went back to Michigan in June I got the privilege to take my cousin Collin's senior pictures. I was very grateful because he is a little pickey...(j/k Collin), and I don't get to spend much time with him because he is quite a bit younger than me, and we lived thousands of miles apart growing up. I will have to admit, it was nice to spend a few hours with just him and I! One of my favorite memories of ColiBob was during one of their visits ouf to California. I can remember it like it was yesterday! Well Mr. ColiBob was really into Jumanji when we was about three or four, and everything was about that movie. One morning...possibly afternoon I was asleep (imagine that!) and he came running into my room saying "Emmy there are monkey's in the "chichin" (aka kitchen). I was a teenager, so obviously I ignored him, well he came in yelling it again. I decided I would get up and see what he was talking about (who knows I probably thought there were monkey's in the chichin) and when I walked out into the living room he had taken the mini blinds and their cords and made a "booby trap" across the entryway. I'm not sure how he did this, but he did, and come to think of it where were the adults...this makes me wonder if I was supposed to be babysitting him...oh well he obviously survived! I do remember it took at least an hour to un-trap myself! Well our little Jumanji loving, booby trap making little boy has turned into a smart, funny, lovable football star!. Collin I hope you like your pictures and thanks for all the smiles. You were an awesome "subject" I hope to see you again soon, and good luck with your senior year. I know you will do amazing. Love you

Happy 13th Birthday Miss M

I was asked to take pictures for our cousins 13th birthday and it was soooo much fun! Her mom had a friend come and teach the girls about inner beauty, skin care and then she taught them how to apply their make-up. She gave a wonderful message and I recommend that all moms do this for their daughters when they turn 13! After the makeover the girls got a photo shoot with me! They are such a sweet and wonderful group of girls. Miss M... I pray that you stay true to yourself and remain the kindhearted girl that you are. You are such a joy to be around and I am so proud of the young lady that you have become. Thank you for letting me share your day with you. I love you and Happy Birthday! Here are some pictures of the shoot!

My "baby" sister is having a baby!

I am so incredibly excited to announce that my younger sister is having a baby, and not just any baby, but a GIRL!!!! And not only is she having a girl, but is naming her Ella which was always my girl name...which obviously didn't happen for me and never will (I guess I should never say never...even though it's supposed to be fixed permanently, God could surprise me someday, but I'm sure with another boy!). I wish I could be closer not only for my niece and nephews, but for my sisters too. I love my sisters more than words can explain and I feel like I miss out on a lot living so far away, but I promise that I will make an effort to have a relationship with her, so she knows her Aunt Emmy.
Erin I love you so much and I am so happy for you (I will have to point out the "I told you so's though!) You and Ryan are going to make great parents, and I can't wait to see you guys and your beautiful baby girl! I love you guys

Baby C

Our lives have been extremely chaotic lately (more about that in another post), so I have not had the opportunity to take many pictures. This is my first session that I have done this year! I was introduced to this precious little boy by my niece. She has this wonderful quality about her in which she welcomes many different people into her life. Well, she had told me about a friend of hers that just moved to town and had a baby. By the way this girl is going to make an amazing mom. I could not help but offer a gift of newborn pictures for the family. I hope that they enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them! Congratulations on a beautiful baby boy!

Snowed In

Last month we got hit with two major snow storms. Now I know some of you are laughing because really it was not that much snow, however for us "okies" it was so much, schools were closed for two weeks....yes I said TWO WEEKS! The first snow storm that came was actually classified as a blizzard. For some reason Daniel thought he would go to work. Why I don't know, I think it's because he recently switched jobs. Well, he didn't get far because our gates were stuck shut from all the snow, but being the good neighbor that he is, he spent about 45 minutes shoveling, so the gates would stay open. He decided maybe he would just stay home! For me all that snow meant two weeks stuck in the house with three rambunctious little boys! One who LOVES the snow, one who HATES the snow, and one that I would not let go out in the snow. I know I'm a bad mom for not letting Mr. Eli out in snow apocalypse of 2011, but have you seen toddlers all bundled up. They can barley walk and they sure as heck can't move their little arms. It just seems cruel, and it takes forever to get them all bundled up. Besides, I really don't like the snow either! I like to look from inside my warm house! However, I did get out one day to take some pictures of the boys and our friend's little girls! There was lots of sledding (for Ethan and Daddy), snowball fights (Ethan and Daddy), and snow ice cream (Owen did participate in the eating of the snow ice cream, but that's all)! Owie got out one day, and one day only, so good thing I got some pictures when I did! Eli, mommy is sorry that you don't have any pictures in our record breaking snowstorm, but next time it snows I promise I will let you play in it!

Okay, so you see happy Owie and happy Emma...

well... Owen is sitting next to me while I am looking through pictures and he says "Mommy! Stop! see that's when Emma threw that snowball at me, and then that's when the snow got down my jacket and Jaime got me the scarf because I was crying because I was cold" (what a memory! I told you he doesn't like the snow! Look at his face below!) I told him "I'm sorry Owen, but Emma looks so darn cute throwing that snowball at you!"(I love this picture of her,she is having soooo much fun!) And no, I don't really feel sorry for him because do you know how many things have been thrown at poor little Emma over the years by Owen?! Besides, when you play in the snow you get snowballs thrown at you! Emma wasn't even trying to hit Owen with the snowball anyway, he walked into her line of fire!

When you don't have enough sleds in Oklahoma you use the rubber mat that goes in the back of your car!

I can't decide if I like this one in black and white or color, so I just put both of them!
